Wildlife & Nature Photography

Quiet, intentional work grounded in patience, presence, and ethical wildlife photography.

In The Field

Most of this work happens slowly. I return to the same places repeatedly, often without making a single photograph, learning patterns of movement, light, and behavior over time. I spend more time watching than shooting, allowing moments to emerge naturally rather than forcing proximity or reaction. The images are a byproduct of time spent paying attention, a quiet reward following days, weeks, or years of observation.

Wildlife

Wildlife photography, for me, is rooted in time and restraint. These images are made by returning to the same places repeatedly and allowing moments to unfold without pressure or interference. Distance, patience, and respect guide every frame, with the goal of documenting animals as they exist—not as they perform.

Landscape & Nature

My landscape and nature work is an extension of time spent outdoors—quiet mornings, changing light, and familiar places revisited across seasons. The focus is less on spectacle and more on atmosphere, balance, and presence, creating images that reflect how these places feel as much as how they look.

I'm Destin Danser

I’m a wildlife and nature photographer drawn to slow work and quiet places. Most of my time in the field is spent observing—returning to the same locations repeatedly, learning patterns of light, movement, and behavior, often without making a single photograph.

My approach is rooted in patience, ethical distance, and respect for the natural rhythms of the places and animals I photograph. I’m less interested in spectacle and more interested in presence—allowing moments to unfold naturally rather than forcing proximity or reaction. The images are important, but so is the process behind them. Being present, paying attention, and letting the work take the time it needs is what gives these photographs meaning.

YouTube & The Quiet Pursuit Project

My YouTube channel is an extension of how I approach photography—curious, intentional, and grounded in real experience. It’s where I share gear reviews, tutorials, and personal perspectives shaped by time spent in the field, not just theory or trends.

Alongside that work is The Quiet Pursuit Project, an ongoing body of work focused on patience, presence, and ethical wildlife photography. Rather than chasing moments, it’s about returning to the same places repeatedly, learning patterns of light, movement, and behavior, and allowing meaningful encounters to unfold on their own terms.

Together, these projects are about slowing down and paying attention—whether that’s through thoughtful discussion, practical education, or quiet time outdoors. The goal is to continue building something honest and reflective, and to grow this work over time in a way that stays true to those values.

Join the Quiet Pursuit Email List

Quiet Pursuit is my YouTube series about learning wildlife photography the right way — through observation, patience, and time spent understanding the subjects rather than chasing them. This email list is where I share the behind-the-scenes field notes, lessons, and reflections that don’t always make it into the videos. It’s a place for deeper thoughts about wildlife behavior, ethical photography practices, and the real learning moments that happen between filming and time in the field.
